Website Evaluation

Let's Learn English is a new course for English learners. Certified American English teachers designed the course for beginners. The course continues for 52 weeks.

 Learning English is VOA’s multimedia source of news and information for millions of English learners worldwide. These audio programs and captioned videos are written using vocabulary at the intermediate and upper-beginner level. These programs are read one-third slower than normal English speed. Online texts, MP3s and podcasts let people read, listen and learn American English

Each week, there will be a new lesson with video showing the lives of young learners. The lesson includes instruction in speaking, vocabulary and writing.

The purpose of  this website is to teach the target language with showing language related issue based videos and that's why enhancement of target languages' pronunciation takes place.

Visuals used in the website are high quality and colorful for beginner learner of english.

This website can be used in the EFL classroom in that theachers may make students watch, focus on voices, try to understand and then comment on those videos.

       This week I will introduce you to a great tool.  Its name is RSS (rich site summary). You can utilize it to keep in touch with whatever blogs or pages you are following regularly. I use RSS Feed Reader app.

 First you type in which blogs you follow,  it saves them for you to remind you follow them.  



Now that I have introduced you what RSS is , now I can advise you an educational blog that I started to follow recently.

Film Review on Wikispaces

This wiki study is about to review of "12 Angry Men" movie. With my partner İbrahim Esendemir, we watched it and desired to share its plot with you by utilizing a wiki page. The reason why we selected this movie is to tell about how prejudices are blockage to find out the realities in our lives. I hope you enjoy it and take some real life lessons about the harm of prejudices. When it comes to using wikispace in language classes, it is a mean for sharing expreiments and teaching certain issues and mostly for adult learners, it can be used.

With my partner,Serkan Çelik, we recorded a story and narrated it for learners of English. This Study is suitable for young learners because it is slow and understandable. I recommend this podcast to teachers to implement in their classes.

A Tale of Two Cities

 

           With my partner ,Serkan Çelik, and I prepared this podcast study for young learners of English language . We chose it from Charles Dicken's  a tale of two cities story book to sound. I recommed    this podcast to the teachers who want to improve their students'  listening skills because of very basic words and understandable  pronunciation used here.
